Kady Mansour

ESCALATOR COMMISSIONED CHOREOGRAPHER



 

Kady Mansour is an emerging dance artist and choreographer based in Naarm (Melbourne). Her practice encourages connection with broad audiences through creating inclusive and participatory experiences and/or performances. Her choreographic work interrogates experiences we share in everyday life, incorporating elements of physical theatre throughout the choreographic process. 

Kady’s performance experience includes Adrien Tucker’s Material Bodies (2022), Responsive Relations (2021), Stephanie Lake’s Colossus (2018, 2019), Israel Aloni’s Ripe (2018), and Lee Brummer’s Time of Our Life (2018). Kady’s collaborative duo Hot Glue Buns have featured in live performances at Glenroy Festival (2023), Gippsland Performing Arts Centre (2022), ROFLCOPTA, (2022) and Fawkner Festival (2022). 

Kady’s choreographic works include Two Women Enter the Toilet Cubicle (2022), Kady and Michaela Were Here (2021), You want the disco? We bring the disco (2018-2023) CNUT (2018), and Tapua (2018). In 2021, Kady was part of Dance House’s Emerging Choreographers Program. Her works have featured at Strawberry Fields Festival and Meredith Music Festival, alongside CC:DISCO! and Gordon Koang. Since 2018 Kady has collaborated with Michaela Tancheff (Hot Glue Buns) to facilitate dance workshops for people with little dance experience with Merri-bek Council.
